What types of composite doors are available?

Foam filled composite doors
Pros: Foam filled GRP composite doors are much more energy efficient than other types of composite door.

Cons: Foam filled doors are stronger than uPVC doors, but not as strong as a solid core composite.

Solid core composite doors
Pros: Solid core composite doors contain a slab of solid wood, giving a heavier, stronger door. They are the most secure front doors, perfect if security is your main concern when it comes to buying a new front door for your home.

Cons: Solid core composite doors are not as thermally efficient as foam filled doors and they can also be more expensive.

GRP composite doors: which is best?
Most homeowners prefer foam filled GRP composite doors. They’re cheaper,  more energy efficient and, like all composite doors, require very little maintenance to keep them looking their best.

If you’re looking for a more secure front door for your property, a solid core GRP composite door is the perfect choice for you. It might be more expensive but you can’t put a price on the safety of you and your family.

Both types of composite door can be customised to suit your requirements. Different colours, designs, glass options, locking systems and hardware such as letterboxes and handles all come together to create the perfect new front door for you.
